I am trying to open a program called Daily Planner that I recently intalled.

The program begins to open and then I get "Run-Time Error '52': Bad file name

or number" We have it running on our other XP computers without any problems.

I've tried uninstalling and reloading to no avail...any ideas

Never having seen the program or even having heard of it, any guess I make

will be just that so take it FWIW. Guess: in the configuration of the

program, probably in a registry entry, is some corrupt data which is

telling the program to open a file which it cannot handle. If you know what

the default data file name is for the program you could search in the

registry for it and go from there. Or just contact the program's originator

and ask what causes error 52.
