Guest Frank Parmelee Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I have never known what it is to have a boring day - ever. one day things work fine, the next who knows waht happened. For example, the two USB ports on the front of the case worked fine and tehn one day they didn't. A little patience and dilegence goes a long way in troubleshooting. In Device Manager I discovered that the ports in question had no drivers installed. Ok, so push the Update Driver button and al is good again. The question is how can USB ports work one day and not the next? -- FrankO
Guest Curt Christianson Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Re: I Love Windows Hi Frank,,, I wish I could answer your query for you, but I can't. The only thing that comes to mind is: *%it happens... When you consider the thousands and thousands of lines of code the computer must read and execute every time you boot the machine, it's amazing that they work as well as they do. I,ve also had drivers or something of that ilk suddenly become corrupted, but it's happened here too. -- Curt http://dundats.mvps.org/ http://www.aumha.org/ "Frank Parmelee" <parmelee9512@sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:OBnco3NKJHA.1012@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >I have never known what it is to have a boring day - ever. one day things >work fine, the next who knows waht happened.
