My Keyboard is typing wrong characters

So what happened is when i press the "W" key, both W and Tab key gets typed and when i press the Tab key, W also gets typed. Similar thing happens with other keys as well. Those keys are, A and Capslock, Esc and F1, ~ and 2. i believe there are other keys as well that are malfunctioning since i cant use my "Window" button and im pretty sure "Shift" and "Alt" arent working properly as well. So yeah thats all the problem im having. can anyone help me? Ps; i work on my laptop and to write this issue i used my laptop keyboard. the problem only occurs when im using my external keyboard
