Guest Dennis Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Re: Screen resolution help! Is there any options? I was thinking someone has used my pc, changed its screen resolution and ticked some other properties. -- =================================== "Bob I" wrote: > Install the correct video driver for your adapter, get it from the > manufacturers web site. > > Dennis wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > How can I set my resolution besides from 1280x768 and 800x600? Guest 3c273 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Re: Screen resolution help! Sounds like you need to reinstall your video driver. What is listed as the "Display" on your settings tab? It is usually of the form "Your monitor make/model" on "Your video card make/model". For instance, mine says "Dell 1508FP on RADEON X300 Series" If your video card is listed as "VGA adapter" or something similar, you need to reinstall your driver. Guest Bob I Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Re: Screen resolution help! XP won't normally show invalid screen resolutions, if you or someone "updated" the video drivers with Windows Update, then a generic driver could be installed. Dennis wrote: > Is there any options? Games can change screen resolutions, also try to get the latest driver for your Graphics card or rollback the driver. Note: you can get info about your G card from Device Manager. Three of the pins tell the card what inputs the display can accept. -- -------------------------- "This is a wonderful computer. It''s 20yrs old and absolutely reliable.
