Guest justmark Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I'd like to retire one of my old Redhat servers (used only as a fileserver) by keeping my old Unix files on a new Windows 2003 server. I see that R2 is supposed to allow this, but I seem to be missing something in the translation here. Is this available with the 32-bit standard version and if not, which version(s) will do this? Thanks!
Guest Dusko Savatovic Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Re: Unix fileshareing - which exact version of Server 2003? I don't quite understand your question. File Server functionality was present in all Windows operating systems since Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (even before that). You can keep your old Unix files in any current version of Windows.
