function keys not working

I use an asus laptop and my function keys are also used for things like volume brightness disable touchpad camera etcnow they were working fine and suddenly now they are not. The vol and brightness keys work when used with Fn but nothing else works. Also my my camera stopped working the same day, not sure if its related.
