[Solved] Games running slow

Hey

I reinstalled windows on my computer for about 2 weeks ago, and just started gaming again today.

i tried out dead island and Max Payne 3, but got alot of lag on high settings on dead island and even worse on max payne 3.

i have earlier run games like Battlefield 3 and Rage on the highest settings, with no problem. So found it wierd that it couldent even run Dead Island smooth on high.

The computer is only 4 months old, and i have used "Driver Navigator" to install all the updates and drivers there is.

We are not gamers here - so advice may well be limited.

 

I have just checked the system specs for Max Payne 3 here:

Your specs get max rating of 10 - so no problem there.

 

Start > type in .....devmgmt.msc ..........ENTER

Are there any yellow exclamation marks if you click the + next to the devices ?

 

What is listed against Display Adapters ?

thanks so much for the reply, but i figured it out :) i uninstalled everything i found from nvidia, restarted the computer and ran windows update. and now everything runs smoothly :) dont know what went wrong, but everything works now, so im happy :D
