Guest supersonic_oasis Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Hi all, I have a 64bit Windows 2003 R2 machine. It is an exchange server, and it is starting to run out of space on the C: drive (only 2.6 GB left). Pretty much the only thing that puts files on the C: drive are Windows Updates. I was thinking about making some changes to the swap file to make some room. The server has 32GB of RAM. The swap files are currently setup as follows: C: 2046-4092 MB E: 2046-49149 MB My question is this: What if I change the size of the swap partition on the C: drive to say...300MB? That would give me plenty of room, as the swap file is currently taking up 2.5GB. Is it safe to do this? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Guest NewsPig Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Re: Swap File Question Sounds ok to me. As long as you have enuff swap file on the first drive to boot. I have put all the swap file on secondary drives before and if that drive fails you are in trouble "supersonic_oasis" <supersonicoasis@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:AC96FFB4-7655-4491-96F8-436B9324E9D8@microsoft.com... > Hi all, > > I have a 64bit Windows 2003 R2 machine.
