how to enable multiplayer on java

Minecraft java says multiplayer is not enabled but when I go to my privacy settings to enable it, it says I cant because I'm a member in a family group, but I am not in a family group and when I was, I was the organizer. I want to know what the problem is if anyone knows. I play on windows.
