Guest David Rudman Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Since installing SP3 or rather SP3 installing itself my laptop won't connect to my wirless network and won't show any networks either. It tells me window can't configure the network.
Guest R. McCarty Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Re: SP3 has disconnected my wireless network on my laptop There is a known issue with certain vendor Network cards after installing SP3. It's best to update or re-install the current driver for the Wireless. Check the vendor's website for your particular model drivers. Tools > Services > Wireless Zero Config. is set to Automatic and that it has been started. - Thee Chicago Wolf

You may also try installing the hotfix from this KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953609 At the top of the page, click "View and request hotfix downloads", follow the instructions. Guest teabag Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Re: SP3 has disconnected my wireless network on my laptop You might choose to learn from the experience and DISABLE automatic changes to your operating system and to your critical programs. The alternative way is to find out what is being offered and then YOU choose what to accept. teabag "David Rudman" <DavidRudman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:872CC9C9-4DE4-4C36-97A3-9DAA0B8E8942@microsoft.com... > Since installing SP3 or rather SP3 installing itself my laptop won't > connect > to my wirless network and won't show any networks either. Guest David Rudman Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Re: SP3 has disconnected my wireless network on my laptop Thanks for that. I reinstalled the original driver from the makers drivers disc, had to put in network key again and all is working well now. "R.
