Guest Daniel P. Cayea Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I have a piece of software I am trying to install on Server 2008. The setup will say that it can only install on Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. Now, even in compatibility mode (right clicking on the setup and telling it to run in a different layer) it tells me that it can only install in 2K, XP, or Vista. What can it be looking at to know the difference even in a compatibility layer? It isn't a system utility, its some test scoring software. Thanks, Dan
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Re: Software Compatibility Question (Forced Install) Hello Daniel, The software vendor is responsible for your question i think. If they don't have a 2008 compatible version, well you have to find another one or maybe wait for it.
