VSSADMIN show Writer status Waiting for completion

I am having Problem with VSS , When I run VSSADMIN List writers to check the

Status it is intermitently showing Waiting for completion, which causes my

Backup through Symantec Backup Exec Failed. What do I need to make sure it is

always in Status: STABLE???? This is my Domain server Windows 2003 R2.

 

I talked to MS rep Byron on chat this morning (EST) but he was not able to

point me to any direction. I'm still waiting for his response via email.

 

 

I will appreciate, if someone can help me !!!!

Hi Kashif,

 

It seems that components of the system state are waiting for completion. See

this update package for Windows 2003

In this forum the writers you're having problems are also in state waiting

for completion (except the exchange writer).
