Laptop works great while is connected to external monitor but if I opened the laptop's lid it simply freezes

So I have this weird Issue with my laptop G5 5590it works great on external display while the lid is closed but if I opened the laptop's Lid the entire laptops freezes tried updating both Nvidia Gtx 1660 ti and intel graphics cardalso updated bios to the latest version possibleany got the same issue please help
