I get "Outlook blocked access to the following potential unsafe attachment:

Halloween.exe". I know this file is safe I made it myself. How do I get

Outlook 2007 to open my file?

Thanks for any help.

It ain't easy. If you're part of an Excange network, the admins can

alter that behavior if they want. If you're standalone, you have to

hack at the registry:

Save the file and execute it from the saved location?

Re: Outlook 2007

It won't let me save it. It is totally blocked. The only notice I get is

highlighted saying it has been blocked because of potential unsafe attachment.

Re: Outlook 2007

My Anti Virus does not say anything. The notice is in my Outlook 2007 e-mail

program.

Re: Outlook 2007

With Outlook 2007 open, Click Tools, Trust Center - make your

changes to attachment handling there.

Re: Outlook 2007

It was not easy I did have to "hack at the registry" but I printed out the

instructions and followed step by step. I still can not open the exe. files,

but at least now I have the option to save them to my desktop and I am able

to open them from there.

Thanks for the detailed web site. This did the trick.

Re: Outlook 2007

I have used this for years with Outlook and it works great. After you

install just launch Outlook and go to Tools/Options/Attachment Security

Options. You may have to change your registry back to the original settings

before you install.

Good Luck
