Windows XP heavy harddisk access at startup

Hi,

 

In the first few minutes after starting XP, I have heavy harddisk access.

Looking at filemon shows that XP is reading files I used recently.

That may have someting todo with the prefetcher!? (but my

"C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch" is empty for example)

 

How can influence/reduce that heavy "prefetching"?
