Guest David Welch Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I am sitting in front of a WinXP system where *.zip files are shown in the folder tree on the left side. How can I suppress these kind of entries? *.zip files should be treated as files and only shown on the left side. David

Hi David Go to Explorer's Tools menu | Folder Options, then View tab. Un-check "Display simple folder view in Explorer's folders list" and OK. On my system I need to close Explorer and then re-open it for the change to take effect. Hope this helps :-) -- Nightowl
