Need permission from myself to delete folder

I want to delete a folder which I currently own according to the security tab in the properties window. That is, assuming my user from the whoami command in the command line console is the correct user and in fact the one currently logged in. I also have admin privelleges as this user. Yet any time I want to delete that folder I get the notification that I need to receive the required permissions from [ME] in order to perform said action.I already saw this post and followed the instructions:Redirecting
