Guest g-gmalcom@cox.net Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Have a problem with TS logon. 2003 server, I can RDC into the server with any account other than the built in Administrator account. When I RDC into server with this account, it allows me to log in, then get a blank desktop. This will stay this way for a little while and then auto log me out. I have tried logging with a second connection to no avail. I can use Ctrl-Shift-End and bring up Taskmgr, nothing else is running. Cannot see the taskbar or any icons? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Guest Vera Noest [MVP] Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Re: Errors with TS logon Mmm, strange. Are there any errors in the EventLog? Could be a profile problem. Can you delete the profile and try again? If that doesn't solve it, I'd enable verbose logging: 221833 - How to enable user environment debug logging in retail builds of Windows http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=221833 _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net ___ please respond in newsgroup, NOT by private email ___ g-gmalcom@cox.net wrote on 11 okt 2008 in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services: > Have a problem with TS logon. 2003 server, I can RDC into the > server with any account other than the built in Administrator > account. > > When I RDC into server with this account, it allows me to log > in, then get a blank desktop.
