Sign-in not possible because old sign-in email address deleted (non-microsoft email address)

Hi there,I want to sign in to an old microsoft account so that I can delete it. However, I only have the email address without the corresponding password. It doesn't help to get the password reset because I can't access the email account.Will the account eventually be deleted if I don't access it?Thanks!
