Windows Hello is currently unavailable. How do I fix it?

I have a Lenovo IDEAPAD Slim 3i, Generation 8. I just set it up today. This computer comes with a fingerprint and facial recognition, but when I go to set it up in Miscrosoft settings -> accounts, it says that fingerprint and face ID is currently unavailble. The last Windows Hello option is the pin, which works.It also says that "we couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Finger/Face ID"I'm not tech savvy so I haven't turned on or off anything special, am I missing something?
