accidentally copied everything from HDD to SSD instead of transferring it

I have an HDD from 2006 in my PC and have used it for a very long time, recently I bought an SSD to replace my HDD and a friend helped me "transfer" everything from one to the other because dealing with this sort of thing makes me nervous about messing it up and losing everything. whenever he finished we decided to leave the HDD in the PC until I get a better hard drive, because I currently have 2TB worth of storage used on my PC already. But when I looked at how much free space I have now, I noticed that they both were almost completely full (as shown in the screenshot). I want to wipe the HD
