syncing playlists with WMP and Samsung phone

I am trying to sync playlists created in Windows Media Player (legacy) on a machine using Windows 11 with my Samsung Galaxy S24. The playlists are fine in WMP, I drag the playlist to the sync window, but once I hit the sync button it only syncs some of the songs. So that of a playlist that has 20-25 songs it only transfers 9 or 3 or 2 to my phone (the number isn't consistent). The songs all play fine on WMP so there is nothing wrong with the files (MP3 format). Any ideas?
