Backspace key is not working in Window 11

The backspace key doesn't delete words that are highlighted. It only works one word at a time. I've tried all the troubleshooting procedures I can find online and on YouTube, but none worked. Can somebody help, please?System > Troubleshoot > Keyboard (keyboard is missing from the Troubleshoot) Command Prompt troubleshoot Device Manager > Update / Uninstall Control Panel troubleshoot
