sync OneDrive Photos to myPC

So, I setup my iPhone 16 to upload / sync pictures I take to OneDrive. I was expecting them to end up in the My files / Pictures folder so that they could be accessed via the File Explorer on a PC. But by default (and I have not found a way to change this) they are placed in OneDrive Photos folder. The only way I have found to access them on a PC is the online OneDrive using Edge. Is there a method to sync that folder to my PC?
