Left speaker not working, not a hardware problem.

I've been having an issue in my game where, when I turn around, the sound that should be coming from my side or behind me just cuts off entirely. It doesn't fade out or become directional; it just stops.I checked the sound settings and ran a speaker test. When the right speaker is tested, sound plays through both speakers, but when the left speaker is tested, I get no sound at all.Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
