Snipping Tool Video is Incomplete

Hello, I have seen this issue brought up but no solution. I recorded a video with the snipping tool, and the file that saved is only 13 seconds long. Looking at the times on it you can see that it was created at one time and saved a little less than an hour later- where is all the other footage? I have looked in the $temp folder as other solutions suggested but the video in there is also just the 13 seconds. I have opened with VLC player as well. Really at a loss for what happened I didn't see an error at any point, plenty of space on my computer. Please help me find my video I worked so hard
