All passwords unrecognized

I woke my Windows 10 laptop from hibernation and the passwords for both the non-administrator and administrator account are unrecognized. It is not due to CapsLock or recent change in password. The problem persists after a reboot. I usually update Windows within a few days of being notified of an update, so the OS should be up-to-date. What should I try next?
