Ps5 controller with USB plugged in not connecting

I had used my controller for years on my PC with no problems. I got a ps5 recently and connected it to my ps5 and now it won't reconnect back to my PC. I've tried to press the reset button on the back. I've pressed with ps button a million times. I've made sure it's plugged in. So I'm not sure why since it's been connected to my ps5 that it doesn't work. Am I dumb? or what?
