windows 11 How can I change the way my Microsoft account is setup so I can access Multiplayer on Minecraft?

I have not been able to resolve my issue for a couple of years now and it is getting frustrating not being able to resolve it. I cannot edit my safety and privacy settings on my Xbox live account (linked to my Microsoft account), I am redirected to a page where they tell me how to enable the editing of my safety and privacy settings but no to avail (meaning the steps on the page do not help). I've also tried to go on my Microsoft account to change the safety settings, there isn't anything on that page that lets me play Multiplayer (same with the privacy settings).
