Sudden loss of storage space, virus?

I recently got a notifaction that my storage space was running low and thought nothing of it and cleared upp som files that wasnt being used. About 20gb. The next day all of that storage space was used up and nothing in the storage tab of settings changed, no new installed apps, no new temporary files etc. I havent downloaded anything new and i cant find whats taking up the space. I suspect a virus of some kind because this doesnt seem normal. Any suggestions?
