Windows 10 File Explorer keeps crashing in thumbnail view.

Hi,My File Explorer keeps crashing in Windows 10 in thumbnail view. I can navigate and choose "folders" in the tree portion on the left only to the point where I go to choose a "file" on the right and then it crashes and closes file explorer.I believe it has something to do with the thumbnails since I am able to get it to stop crashing if I choose "Always show icons, never thumbnails" in the view settings. The workaround makes it possible to access documents and files that I know the names of but it is unsuitable to access files like pictures or documents such as PDFs that I need to open by
