Why does my pc keep opening and closing the file Explorer tab over and over again all on its own?

Tonight I installed an audio editor app from the Microsoft app store thinking it was ok because it came from the Microsoft store but after using the app for about ten minutes my computer started behaving like it was possessed. It started with the volume, it would go to 0 and nothing I could do would allow me to raise the volume. Then it started opening and closing the file Explorer over and over again about every 5 seconds it either opens or closes the file Explorer all on its own without me touching anything and it still hasn't stopped. K immediately un-installed the app but that did nothing
