Guest SteveJHU Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Hi, We have a 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2 installation. We had a controller fail and needed to replace it. The failed controller was an HP SmartArray 5300. We tried to replace it with a SmartArray 6400. After we installed the new controller, we received a Stop Error 0x0000007B. We could not boot to safe mode. What is the procedure to change the boot controller to a different controller in Server 2003? I was not able to find documentation on this. Thanks, Steve
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Re: Server2003: Replace SCSI Controller Question Hello SteveJHU, Think you have to contact HP support for this. Also i think you have to replace an array controller with the same model to get access to the created arrays before the crash.
