windows 10 Computer screen goes dark until full restart

I have had this problem for many months. First of all, I want to say it's not a software issue, I formatted the computer twice, and this still persists.Sometimes, I try to launch my computer, and the fans and lights and all work, but the display does not appear. I have to restart it anywhere from 1-20x sometimes to get it working. Once it's running, it just goes black at random times, usually when I try to launch a game though. When the screen is black, sometimes the audio is still going for 5-10 seconds, and sometimes it just stays there. But the screen would go off, and there's no fix other
