My system keeps crashing. How can I fix this?

My system keeps crashing. By "crashing" I mean the screen goes dark and the system stops. My tower stays on but any activity (ie. playing music or video) i'm doing stops. A few seconds later the screen comes back right where I left off as if nothing happened. I know it's not a problem with my display because the sound from my external speakers stops as well. The last time this happened was on 6:13 pm my time on 11/2/24. How can I find a solution to this problem?
