Muffled/Underwater sound while I'm in a WhatsApp call.

Whenever I join a call on whatsapp and I start listening to anything else (spotify, youtube, Instagram, etc) they all become muffled and kind of like I'm underwater.I've disabled the communications settings (the "don't do anything while in a call") but still nothing.I'm on a Bluetooth headset FYI, but I'm pretty sure it would be the same with normal headsets as well.
