Where could I look for an audio recording that disappeared?

So, I used the sound recorder app to record an assignment. I stopped the recording and went to rename it. As I hit enter it vanished. I checked the Documents to Sound Recordings, and nothing was there. I also checked the recycle bin and there too was nothing. If there is any other place it could be I'd appreciate the help.
