Windows Doesn't Recognize Audio Output

So my computer has been perfect and nothing has ever been wrong with the audio, well, now it has. I tried to watch YouTube on the computer, and I noticed there's no sound. So like I always do, I click the volume up button and, it didn't work. I see the muted sign on the sound icon in the screen, but it just doesn't turn on, I tried turning it up manually in the little menu in the bottom right hand side, but it doesn't show the usual blue bar that you can drag to the side and change the volume, it is instead a gray bar that I can't drag to the side.
