windows 11 How do I transfer files from internal hard drive to external hard drive When internal hard drive is full? I think OneDrive is linked to hard drive.

I think OneDrive is linked to my external hard driveI’m trying to transfer all my important files from my pc hard drive to my external hard drive but when I try to simply drag and drop it says I need more storage yet I have 2tb worth in my external so I think it’s trying make a copy with in OneDrive and my pc hard drive is maxed out. I tried downloading them directly to my computer but because there isn’t enough space I can’t download the files. I tried using third party applications to transfer but even those don’t work. I uninstalled anything I am not using and already successfully transferr
