Hi. so I did the above, actually because all of a sudden W10 stopped displaying the right icon next to files on "details" view (well, it stopped displaying the right icon on some file types, so I did a clear thumbnails)and now I have all sorts of things going wrong. this is what my list view looks like - cannot actually select different views, and my file list in explorer is just icons - I could post a screenshot but I don't really want to list all my filenames. if needed, I could do a 20 minute edit session and blank the names outwhat I guess I need is to somehow force rebuilding thumbnails a
