Desktop icons rearrange after turning monitor on/off or computer restart

This was happening with a new monitor - and no, "Auto arrange icons" was not enabled. After much searching, I discovered this was a not-unknown issue with monitors connected via DisplayPort, which this new monitor is - my old one was HDMI. After a lot more searching, I finally found an old Reddit thread that suggested a solution - and it worked, so I am posting this here for the benefit of anyone else that might have this issue too.First, open the Registry editor (Start > Run > regedit)Then navigate to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\ConfigurationThere
