My Lenovo IdeaPad z570's mousepad does not work whenever I am holding down a key other than Shift, Ctrl, and Alt. Whenever I hold a key, my cursor is frozen and is still frozen for about 2 seconds after I stop pressing the key. I am an occasional PC gamer and am not that interested in purchasing a USB mouse. Any information on this problem is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to ExTS

Try updating the drivers for your mousepad.

Start .........type in ...devmgmt.msc ......ENTER

Click the + next to "Mice and other Pointing Devices"

Right click on the listed device > Update Driver Software

Let Windows search automatically - you will need internet access.

If there is a yellow exclamation mark or the above didn't work then uninstall the drivers and re-boot the machine.

Windows will locate "new hardware" and install the drivers.

Also check the keyboard in Device Manager for yellow exclamation marks.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
