Unable to activate windows after hardware change even after logging in to my microsoft account

Hello, I am having an issue with activating windows on my device. I recently switched motherboards on my usual computer and now it is saying I have to activate windows even after I already did when I first built my computer. When trying to activate windows says that my product key was used on another device :( I recently discovered a method for those who changed hardware, however, before I knew about this I unlinked the computer from my Microsoft account. I have been trying to relink by signing in but nothing has happened. Not sure how to proceed and need some help from someone who knows more
