Can't open windows security

I can't open windows security at all.I have tried;1) Left and right clicking the windows security icon in the task bar.2) I tried opening from the windows menu and it seemed to open, but then the app just stayed white with no information shown before closing after a minute or two.3) I downloaded Microsoft security scanner and ran a full scan. It found no viruses or malware.4) I went to the app settings for windows security and tried to repair and restart, neither worked.Please can someone help.
