Why can't I stop a specific third party pop up?

I'm getting a specific third party pop-up that I cannot stop, in spite of everything I have researched and tried. I will be happy to attach the information if there is a way to do that. It is Titled "Window's Script Host. I have gone to Windows Script Host Settings, followed the prompts, but the pop-up still appears on my task bar with a loud "gong". Please help me remove this.
