Microsoft Wireless Display V2 Adapter "couldn't connect". All available advice has been followed

I have a Microsoft Wireless Display V2 Adapter which has worked fine up until last week. Every time I try to connect I get the same message: "couldn't connect - please wait a moment and try later". I've tried waiting, resetting wifi, the adapter, monitor, network and the Surface Pro 8 itself. I've also tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, the Wireless Display app, etc. I've unplugging and plugging back in everything that can. The only success I've had is twice after a network reset, the monitor has connected but that hasn't worked today or on multiple other occasions. Plus it's no
