I have been months trying to fix this. And this worked for me: Go to nVidia Control (right click on desktop -> nvidia control panel). Then in menu bar choose Desktop and UNSELECT "Add Desktop Context Menu" and "Add run with Graphics Processor". Source: File Explorer Slow To Open From Taskbar put it here to let it be found by anyone having this issue in 2024, because this issue is happening since 2014!!Regards
