Guest Larry(LJL269) Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Got cheap Storm Surge sound card that Loses sound on Restarting. If I open tray icon & make any adjustment it comes on ok. Onboard sound originally with it I disabled in DManager but didnt remove. Any ideas except 'update driver'? Your help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks- bye- Larry Why not "update driver"? The normal troubleshooting steps: 1. Update drivers. In your case, you would need to get them from the Storm Surge mftr.'s website. 2. If that doesn't work, the card is probably defective. Uninstall it and replace it with a better one. I don't know what you call cheap, but a decent sound card costs under $20.
