Guest Bob Day Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I'm using Windows XP Pro with all latest updates... I'm confused about my computer automatically going into hibernation when it is not used for certain lengths of the time. Sometimes it seems to do this, and other times it is does not go into hibernation even after hours of non-use Does anybody know why it works sometimes and not others? Thanks, Bob
Guest Bob I Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Re: Why hibernation sometimes and not others? There is more to "non-use" than meets the eye. Certain software may preclude it from running. Updates from Microsoft or other companies being installed is one instance, of just some software that checks resources like CD burning software, etc. Bob Day wrote: > I'm using Windows XP Pro with all latest updates... > > I'm confused about my computer automatically going into hibernation when it > is not used for certain lengths of the time.
