PIN not available after restarting in safe mode - how to proceed?

So I built a new system and was pretty much finished with set-up using Windows 11 (I think Home version). I only had a PIN set up (never making that mistake again, why even allow it when it seems to be risky?). However one process from AMD to clean up some of their drivers wanted to restart in safe mode. So I did that.Then on restart I am greeted by Windows telling me the PIN is not available (apparently a known issue with PIN?): "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again". Paraphrasing as the statement is half english, half german. I tried the option to s
